I’m currently watching Julia, the Julia Child series on Amazon Prime Video, and I am absolutely loving it.
My love for Julia Child actually started on Pinterest. Back when I was first stepping into the world of baking, searching for cooking quotes and kitchen inspiration, Julia’s words kept popping up everywhere. And honestly? She never misses. My all-time favorite is:
“A party without cake is really just a meeting.”
Words to live by.
Later on, I watched Julie & Julia—and if you haven’t seen it yet, you have to. It’s one of those movies I put on whenever I need a little motivation to keep going with my personal projects. Small spoiler alert (forgive me): the main character isn’t Julia, it’s Julie. She starts a blog where she documents her journey cooking through Mastering the Art of French Cooking, sharing recipes and pieces of her life along the way. In that movie, Julie is really the hero, not Julia—and honestly, Julia doesn’t come off looking her best.

But Julia is a whole different story.
This series is completely about Julia Child—about a chapter of her life that hadn’t really been told before. And I love her even more for it. Her restless personality, her adventurous spirit, and the confidence she had in herself and her ideas are incredibly inspiring. She takes up space. She trusts her voice. She shows up exactly as she is—and that’s kind of magical.

As a bonus, we also get to see her relationship with her husband, which is both moving and deeply inspiring. Supportive, loving, and full of mutual admiration. Truly relationship goals, Julia-style.
So if you haven’t started it yet, start today. It does not disappoint.
I’m on episode 4—catch up and let’s talk about it 🍰✨
